Aww Goku look cute in this part, he didn’t want Chi-Chi/Milk to leave.
I get upset at chichi in these episodes cause she should have at least gave goku some affection poor guy ( ;;w;; ) I understand she was angry at him but she should see the condition he was in and she knows that he is a fighter and protects the earth so she should have known that that’s the reason he was gone/hurt ( ;;w;; )
Yup, and she was angry for a bad reason….Goku don’t have the blame of his son fight, if even the same Goku said to Gohan that “he would fight alone” and go to a safe place with Krillin (which we already know that halfway of road they came back to help)……andddd…Piccolo was the one who had the idea that “Gohan will fight” and force Gohan to train.
Chichi was really very hard with Goku throughout the first part of DBZ ….
It was a stark contrast between the average sweet girl obsessed with give continually affection to Goku….to become an overprotective mother who always yells at her husband, knowing that this had no fault siertas things.
Luckily she changes in Majin Buu Saga …
I’d say that Chichi’s reaction underscores some of the humor in the series--like how two different people could have such radically different views on the same situation. And it also calls you to try and see it from Chichi’s side. “Earth being saved”, she felt, shouldn’t be left up to her 4-5 year old child when there was a group full of defenders who she already knew.
And keep this in mind, because it’s also funny—but it was only once she finally let Gohan go alone with his father to see his old fighting friends, who she didn’t want to have influence her son, did Gohan get kidnapped by Piccolo of LEGEND, who nearly enslaved the world and killed Goku and herself just 5 years ago, was gone for a year, and was then put up to fight alien overlords that were “somehow” involved with her husband, and when she found him her little kindergarten-aged boy was battered, unconscious and bloody.
No, Chichi’s not in the right—but her feelings make sense. She’s been out of the loop on Gohan’s hidden powers, and as a mother to a young child, is understandably unwilling to have HIM be one of Earth’s protectors against evil.
Chichi is COLD towards Goku because of her burning resentment for his legacy coming around to take her son away and injure him, and involve him in the fighting world that she wanted to protect him from now that Earth was “safe” (and maybe she wasn’t keen on seeing Gohan experience the sort of pain Goku went through during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, what with shattered limbs and gaping holes through his chest—didn’t want “her baby” involved with ANY of that) She blames him because she’s had worries about this happening before that he dismissed and it happened. She also dismisses his injuries when she jumps over him to see Gohan because she trusts that Goku will be okay—and knows that he’s into "fighting and beating up bad guys and getting beaten up"—but is totally and legitimately freaked out over her son, who she only knows as a normal child. No, Goku’s isn’t to "blame", but from where Chichi’s coming from, he is.
So yeah. It’s funny because she’s wrong, but understandable, and even while somewhat reasonable—totally ridiculous.
